Working style and communication
How you workand how you communicate
Two parts, around 21 minutes in total. There are no right or wrong answers. Answer the way you usually are at work, not the way you would like to be.
- ≈ 21 minutes
- No wrong answers
- Saved if you leave the page
Part 1 looks at how you work, how you communicate, what you need at work these days, and what your pattern is when the pressure is on. You get the result as a PDF, and it also goes to the internal panel, where management can read it. It is never used to decide hiring, promotion or discipline.
Before you start
This test has two parts
- 1 How you work and how you communicate 106 statements · ≈ 15 minutes
- 2 When it does not go to plan 40 statements · ≈ 6 minutes
Part 2 starts straight after part 1. Your result is complete only when both parts are done, so plan for about 21 minutes.
You have a test already started on this phone. You can pick up where you left off.
All three are needed so the result can be matched to you.
Your profile
How you work
The percentages show how 100 points divide between the four styles. That is what is strongest in you, not how much you scored against anyone else.

Your structure: base and phase
In this model a personality is a building with six floors. The ground floor is your base: the type you started from, and it does not change. Above it are the other five, stacked in the order of how much energy you have available for each. The floor you are living on now is your phase: what drives you in this period of your life. That one does move.
Your phase, in this period of your life
Your base is how you have always been. Your phase is what you need at work in the period you are in now, which can last months or years. The two do not always match, and when they do not, this is usually the more useful half of the page.
Your pattern under pressure
Everyone has one of these. Having a strong pattern is not a fault; not knowing which one is yours is what costs you.
How I work best: worth bringing into a conversation
One thing that does not depend on your profile
The safety rules are the same for every style. There is no profile that justifies a skipped step. If your result says you are fast, it means you are fast inside the rules.
This result is indicative. It is here to help people understand each other's working style and to share out roles. It is not a clinical instrument, it does not measure competence, and it should not be a criterion in a hiring or disciplinary decision. The communication part is inspired by the Process Communication Model, but it is not the official PCM test.
Part 1, done
One more part, and it is short
Part 1 was about how you work when things go to plan. Part 2 is about what you do when they do not. Forty statements, about six minutes.
Part 2
When it does not go to plan
Nobody picks what lands on their day. The difference is what you do with it. Forty statements, about six minutes.
The result goes to the internal panel, like the one from part 1. That is exactly why a flattering answer buys you nothing: nobody is graded, and nothing here decides hiring, promotion or discipline.
Part 2
How you stand with what cannot be planned
Four habits, not a label
Nothing here says lucky or unlucky. The part of luck you can actually move sits in four habits, and every one of them can be practised. These are yours today.
The same rule as in part 1
None of this changes a safety rule. A habit describes how someone meets what they did not plan, never what they are allowed to skip.
